Conference - Attendee Guide
Conference Location
All conference and pre-conference sessions will be held in
RMIT Building 80 - 435-457 Swanston St, Melbourne
Sessions will be in various rooms between levels 1 and 4 of the building.
Elevators and escalators are available to move between floors.
Conference Format
The basic structure of the program is programmed into blocks of 1 - 1.5 hours, with catered breaks (morning tea / lunch / afternoon tea) between most sessions. If you have dietary requirements or accessibility needs not yet communicated, please let us know.
During the conference, attendees are welcome to choose which sessions to attend. Attendees do not need to preregister for sessions. Pre-conference workshops on the weekend prior to the conference require separate registration.
In the unlikely even that a conference session is full (i.e. the room is at capacity), attendees are encouraged to pick a different session to attend.
Getting There
Public Transport
RMIT is in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, easily accessible from Melbourne Central Station or by tram routes along Swanston St, La Trobe Street. You can plan your trip via Public Transport Victoria.
During pre-conference workshops (Sat 25th and Sun 26th of October) trams 19, 57, & 59 along Elizabeth St
will not be running between Flinders St Station and the Haymarket roundabout - if you were planning to catch a tram along Elizabeth St, we recommend catching a train to Melbourne Central Station instead on these days.
Driving
Nearby carpark sites include Care Park (110 Victoria St) or Secure Parking (300 La Trobe St).
You can compare prices and pre-book via their websites for the best rates.
